We have an opening for a Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen Team.
Our menu offers home cooked starters, mains & desserts, with specials available daily.
The varied menu prepared on site offers traditional pub fare as well as fish, game, Tapas & Mexican dishes.
What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced CDP to join and enhance our hard-working kitchen team.
Being a family owned Freehouse you will need to be a team player & be willing to turn your hand to what you least expect as we all muck in.
This would also be a great opportunity for somebody who wants to learn from a great chef in a busy kitchen. And also gain valuable experience to enhance their catering CV.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in creating recipes and developing dishes for the menu
• To ensure that all preparation, is done on time and to the standard required the Head Chef
• To work across all kitchen areas as required by Head Chef
• To ensure that company Health & Safety, Food Safety And COSHH Legislations are adhered to
• Assist and maintain a high standard of hygiene required by the Food Safety Act 1990 & The Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995
• To inform the Head Chef of any malfunction of catering equipment
• Responsible for ensuring that all menu items are available throughout service times and after service for the next day
• Have excellent communication skills
• Economic and careful use of manually and mechanically operated equipment observing the guidelines specified in the Health and Safety Act 1993 at all times
• Cleaning duties to maintain a tidy, clean and hygienic work environment
Two years experience is preferred but not essential.
We offer a competitive Salary which will be dependent on experience and discussed during the interview process.
You do need to be able to drive due to the lack of public transport in the area.
